Tired of constantly pasting text from Studio to a web browser? If so, this plug-in is for you. Plug-in looks for the selected text in your default web browser. Simply select the text and press Ctrl-W (or Ctrl-Shift-W for exact search) or click the button on the ribbon and the results will appear on the web search engine. You can select text in the source or target column. You can configure the search engine provider (Google, Bing, etc.)

One of the amazing features of the LanguageTool Plugin is advanced spell check. Spell-checking is done in batch mode, so it’s faster than a standard Studio spell check. Group ignoring errors is easier and safer. Unnecessarily ignored errors can be quickly restored, which cannot be done with a standard spell check in Studio.

Any error detected by the LanguageTool Plugin is clearly indicated in the Message column. Any error detected by the LanguageTool Plugin is clearly highlighted in the Target column. You can be sure that you won’t mistakenly ignore the error returned by a standard spell checker in the Studio.

Notes in small print: not all errors listed above are detected by the LanguageTool Plugin by default. This depends on the default configuration of the speller of LanguageTool package. LanguageTool spell checker configuration is set in INFO file in dictionary folder:

For the Ignore words with UPPER CASE…, Ignore words with miXED CASE… and Ignore words with numbers… to work, there must be 3 highlighted lines in the language configuration file. If there are no lines or they are set to “true”, they must be changed accordingly.
Unfortunately, this will not work for all languages. Below is a table with the default settings of the LanguageTool spell checker module, which will help you easily check if you can change your settings. The FSAignore params supported column indicates whether it is possible to change them in the INFO file. You can see that among the languages tested by me, it is not possible to set all three parameters only for Danish, German, Portuguese and Ukrainian. Nothing needs to be changed for Catalan, Dutch, Swedish, French. For other languages you can edit FSA parameters in INFO file.
Do you use Xbenech 2.9? Now you can check active Studio project in Xbench 2.9 with just one-click. You no longer need to create new Xbench project or add files to project manually. Xbench29Plugin creates Xbench project, adds files from active Studio project and runs Xbench automatically for you. Then just click Check ongoing translation in Xbench application to perform QA-check.
However, the name of this plug-in is Xbench29Plugin it works with Xbench 2.9 as well as Xbench 3.x.
Xbench29Plugin creates Xbench project for all SDLXLIFF files from active Studio project and opens Xbench application instantaneously. XBP file type (that is Xbench project file extension) must have a correct association with the Xbench application. Otherwise, Xbench will not be started. The plugin does not include any termbase or translation memories when creating Xbench project. The plugin saves XBP file in Studio project folder. XBP project filename is the same as the name of Studio project.
